Synergy exterior wayfinding signage solutions are devised to fulfil two key functions. In essence, a successful architectural wayfinding sign scheme should direct people who are unfamiliar with their surroundings. A wayfinding system should take account of the needs of the disabled and visually impaired and help as they navigate through it.
Totems are freestanding sign solutions fabricated from different materials and can be illuminated for additional impact. They can be used as a wayfinding solution or an imposing external feature, reinforcing brand awareness and at the same time promoting a modern stylised image.
They play a key role in providing that all important first impression as they welcome users to their destination Such signs will effectively welcome and inform user groups of the presence of the building or estate that they are visiting.
All of our totems are bespoke solutions and are designed and engineered to exacting specifications. Where appropriate, we can provide structural calculations, to give you comfort that the combination of materials that we propose to use is fit for purpose.
The totems will consist of a robust steel or aluminium frame, clad in a variety of materials – dibond, powder coated aluminium, stainless steel, timber, glass or flex face material. Panels can either be illuminated by LED’s or non-illuminated, flat faced or curved.
Synergy really do put the fab into fabrication. Our letters are hand fabricated by skilled craftsman from a variety of materials suitable for use in a wide range of business environments.
Fabricated lettering, whether in metal or acrylic is considered to be a sign making standard. Specified by sign designers, architects and end-users everywhere, a fabricated letter can create the right image for your organisation.
The materials we use are also incredibly diverse. We are comfortable in working with all materials – satin, polished or tinted stainless steel, brass, gilding metal, aluminium and acrylic
Aluminium is lightweight and particularly suitable for installation onto glazed areas or on composite cladding panels. In contrast, stainless steel is the most durable and versatile material and, if maintained regularly, will last for many years. Stainless steel fabricated letters are available in both mirror or satin polished finishes and all metal letters can be powder coated for maximum durability. The lettering can be finished to any BS or RAL colour or matched to a PMS colour.
All of our fabricated metal letters can be fabricated as flat faced, rimless, rim and return, and bevels. The letters can be supplied with metal back trays or 10mm thick foam PVC backplates for face Illumination or with opal acrylic or polycarbonate backplates for halo Illumination.
Illumination can be added to enhance the appearance of the letter forms and signage. Halo or face Illumination can be added by state of the art low voltage LED’s. On smaller letter forms we can embed LED’s into 30mm thick acrylic to provide face, edge or halo Illumination.
Currently, we are working with the third-generation of LED’s. This latest generation lasts longer, is more durable, performs better and is more energy-efficient than any other source of lighting.
